For Coalition Members

Members,

The SCA Coalition is extremely honored to partner with organizations that share our mission to reduce the number of deaths from SCA and preparing our country to respond to SCA. With our depth and breadth of voices, we believe we can achieve real change in Washington D.C., and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

On this page, you will find several tools that can help accomplish the Coalition’s goals as you work with your membership to address the impact of SCA with the wider community.

If you have any questions or comments about these materials, or anything else related to the Coalition, please feel free to contact us.

Regards,

Lisa Levine and Mary Newman

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Coalition

THE SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST COALITION INVITES YOU TO JOIN OUR MISSION

In 2004, a group of professional and patient organizations united to form the Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Coalition, committing to advocate for greater awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and expand research, treatment and education efforts. Together we recognized that while individual organizations have made headway against this leading killer, more must be done and could be done, if these organizations joined forces.

Our Mission Statement:

The SCA Coalition is comprised of organizations passionate about preventing sudden cardiac arrest deaths through legislative initiatives that lead to greater public awareness, research and access to life-saving therapies. The SCA Coalition is focused on national issues that have the opportunity to influence Congress, the Administration, other policy makers, the media, health care providers and the public.

Our Membership:

We look forward to achieving our vision through the strength of our membership and the commitment of all our partners. We hope all members will offer their name, expertise and networks in support of the critical mission of the Coalition. Members of the Executive Committee as listed below have made contributions to fund an operating budget, but no financial support is required for participation, although in-kind support (staff support, advertising and promotions, attendance at Coalition events and at member Annual Meetings or other similar events) is welcome and encouraged.

As leaders of the heart and health community, we would like to invite you to join us in this endeavor. The Coalition is already strong, but it will be an even stronger heart advocacy group with your involvement.
