Judy Sudmeier - Survivor
Judy Sudmeier is an RN, clinical educator, who experienced SCA when she was 52, while chatting on the phone at work. Her office colleagues responded with immediate CPR. After receiving CPR for several minutes, she converted to normal sinus rhythm after the delivery of 3 shocks.

Judy and her physicians are not positive of the medical cause of her SCA. She had a history of occasional fainting since the age of 11. There are more tests that could have been run to confirm diagnosis... but the treatment would be the same and Judy did not want to waste valuable resources that could be provided to someone else — she is simply thankful for a second chance at life.

Judy has a BSN in Nursing, an MBA, and is attending Regis University, working on her master's degree in nursing, working toward her goal of being a Family Nurse Practitioner, serving the underserved in a rural area. Her third new birthday arrived in May! She currently teaches basic life support and advanced life report, teaching the strategies that saved her life. She is passionate about getting AEDs into school to save our youth!
